SIMPLE DOESN’T MEAN EASY

Truth is, making barefootwear is hard. And moving towards regenerative barefootwear is even harder. We’re challenging conventional norms which cost more and there is no pattern to follow. It’s a complex process that requires a radically innovative approach to research, development and design. Our barefootwear requires longevity, durability, and thin, pliable materials for natural movement – with as little impact on the planet as possible. It’s definitely not the smooth road, but it’s the one we’re determined to stay on.

BUILDING A BUSINESS MODELLED ON NATURE

We’re working to build a regenerative business; one that creates a positive and lasting impact rather than simply minimising negative effects. It’s a long road ahead, but we’re taking small steps in the right direction; working with material innovators, manufacturing partners, and our community to understand and improve our impact. We’re also a certified BCorp Business, which guides us towards meeting the highest verified standards of social and environmental performance, transparency and accountability. We have big ambitions for sustainability, but achieving this takes capital, collaboration and commitment.

OUR PRODUCT GOAL IS TO BE FULLY CIRCULAR

We spend a lot of time understanding the materials we use because the more we know, the better the choices we make. Our goal is to one day be fully circular, which means every material we use comes from either recycled or natural, regenerative sources, and every product we make can be either composted, or recycled into new footwear.

We resell returned footwear at a discounted price on ReVivo, but there are costs associated with the necessary cleaning and re-packing.
