How cute are these shoes?
OK, so I don’t run through trails, but how cute are these shoes? The Primus Trail SG, my fourth pair of Vivobarefoot shoes, did not disappoint. A nice snug fit around the top of the shoe makes them perfect for strolling on and off the beach in winter without bringing any sand home. As with other Vivobarefoot shoes, this one is super light-weight and flexible, and allows for great feedback from the ground. Love the grip on these, too!
My favorite vivos so far
I own a fair number of Vivobarefoots -- after 3 decades of foot pain, they have helped me reverse the damage of "normal" shoes and the routine soreness in the evenings (arches) is a thing of the past.
But for some reason the Olive version of these Primus Trail SG are better looking than my other Vivobarefoots! The design doesn't look odd or unusual -- in fact, I receive a lot of compliments on these shoes. I know these are for soft ground, but I wear them everywhere. Look great with jeans.
Could be perfect...
The toe box is perfect for my wide feet, but it seems consistent from my experience that Vivo's are not meant for high-arched feet. The eyelets on my last pair of Vivo's tore after only a few weeks of wear, but after I had broken that pair in, I seriously loved them—it was a shame they didn't last. I replaced those with these and hoped that this pair may accommodate my arches better because of the sock-like fit and the bungee cord instead of a lace, but they're still not right for my arches.
