Great winter boot
I've been wearing Vivobarefoot boots for the past four years, and the Gobi 2.0 is a great update to the line. I had to size up from my previous pair (totally normal and expected) but everything is good so far. The ankle opening is a bit spacious for me, but I've always had slender ankles.
My only issue so far: I'm not the biggest fan of the lacing hooks at the top of the shoe. My laces keep slipping off and loosening. Not a deal breaker though!
Weatherproof, Warm, and super comfy
These boots are comfy the minute you put them on. They are also very stylish. I walk in the rain about 3-4 times a week during the winter and it keeps my feet dry and warm. I highly recommend if you want some stylish boots for everyday use.
I've been wearing my boots for over a week now in snowy conditions and I'm very pleased. Size was accurate. The boots felt a bit slipper-ish at first (in shape) but after wear are starting to conform more to my natural foot shape. They are incredibly warm and waterproof. I did notice some wear off the color after several days trampling in snow, but they responded well to polish and waxing. They do as well on ice as any other winter boot. This is my first minimalist shoe, so I can't say how well they fit the "rules" (I expect there could be more vertical space for the toes), but my foot pain has diminished since wearing them. They caused some rubbing around my ankles (even through socks/tights) at first, but loosening the laces alleviated that. It would be great if the shearling came all the way up the inside of the boot for that reason.
