Tracker II Fg Mens

I live in the Chicago area. The last time I found a pair of boots I liked was 15 years ago. These boots have now replaced my old ones. They are flexible, supportive, secure on my feet, waterproof, and they keep out sand and gravel too. I wear these in the winter snow and my feet do not get cold. I really love these boots. They are comfortable for hiking and extended wear.

I work in Nicaragua on a farm and wanted to invest in a quality pair of barefoot boot that would last a while. I don't do anything crazy with the boots, a lot of walking especially in wet grass. I have had them for about a month and the waterproofing has seemingly worn off and the rubber sole on the side of the boots is starting to disconnect from the boots. I really love the feel and look but for the price, I was hoping for much much better.

I live in Norway and spend a lot of time in all sorts of weather and trekking over mountains, marshes and more. These boots have been firm friends in snow and heaving rain, and still are in good nick. Very comfy, durable as hell, and everything I wanted in my boots!

I have been 100% Vivobarefoot for about 5 years now so I am a total convert. Shaved head, ecstatic chanting, sending 20% of my income to the Guru, the whole thing. I currently have 7 pairs for different uses. Once you adopt flexible shoes you can't go back easily. Nor can you wear rigid shoes and heels for just one purpose, like hiking. So, I found it a problem hiking in the hills till I bought Trackers. But, I am working up to a but...they are simply not waterproof. OK, the boot is mainly leather and you can dubbin leather, but the tongue is fabric, fairly open weave fabric in fact, which I have found it impossible to waterproof. This means water goes straight in through the tongue. For multi day walking and sleeping in the hills that is not good. Many serious walkers wear gaiters; best be aware that gaiters can be worn but won't fit well on the Tracker as it is simply a lighter shoe with a lower profile (this isnt the shoes fault, just that there is no gaiter designed for the Tracker). So, sorry, not five star: this feels like an interim design solution. I could not the hiking boots I used to so great to have the Tracker but why have leaky fabric tongues? Or are Tracker's to be worn to look cool in town?
