Love it
I wear these to work everyday since I got them. I have no issues thus far. They are a bit on the narrow side compared to my other vivo shoes, but that doesn't mean its not as comfortable. I high recommend them for work or casual events.

Finally! Barefoot Shoes for Work
Love these! So happy to have a pair of minimal shoes that I can wear to work. Soles felt stiffer than my Gobi boots & other Vivo's at first, but seem to be breaking in after a week of wear.

Comfortable and stylish
The shoes look great, the wife approves! Leather is indeed a great footbed, very comfortable. Shoes are a bit loose but it doesn't bother me or reduce comfort. Because they're a bit loose it probably helps with breathability. I opted not to use the cork insole. The shoes are stylish, I work in a casual work environment.

Great Shoe!

Love the shoes so far
These are the most professional and sleek of any barefoot shoes I've seen--so much so that I'm not sure anyone could tell they aren't a regular shoe. They are comfortable and feel very sturdy, so it feels like I've got the best of both worlds. Colors are true to the images.

Perfect all day shoe
This is the perfect all-day shoe. I wear it to work, then to dinner, then out to the movies or concert. It goes well worth everything I own, including sweats, slacks, jeans or shorts. Of course, I love the feel of the barefoot soles, and am “sold” on the barefoot shoe movement. I have replaced all of my shoes with barefoot shoes. Thank You again Vito.

Super comfortable, great business casual shoe.
This is my second pair of Ra II (first was tobacco color). I love these shoes. They are extremely comfortable and work as both work shoes and play shoes.

I gave a four star on this than I would have my original Ra's because the shoe feels a little stiffer than the original I bought and I'm pretty sure it's not just because the other one is well broken in. Also, here in the US, it is prohibitively expensive to replace the soles on these shoes as I would have to have them shipped from the UK. My original pair, which I love, has a hole in the sole and pretty soon I will have to replace it with an inferior sole from my cobbler.

Super Comfortable
Like some other reviews, got these in the brown and they actually are a little lighter than what they seem online. They're super comfortable to wear and look great for a casual night out or to head into the office. All I need are some black ones and I'd be set.

Third Pair
This is my third pair of of vivobarefoot shoes. I just discovered these shoes four months ago on Amazon and am glad that I did. The RA II in Blue is my favorite pair. My Mom just had knee replacement surgery and I wore these on my visits to the hospital and doing all day walking in the hospital. That night I had muscle cramps in my right foot, a good sign that these shoes work muscles that have not been exercised before. The leather is soft and beautiful and a size 11.5 fits perfectly. Do not hesitate to purchase these shoes. They are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned.

My new favorite

Great shoes
These shoes are very comfortable and stylish. I walk barefoot wherever and whenever I can, and I can say these shoes do an excellent job of simulating how my feet and body move when I’m barefoot. I’ve only had them a couple days so I can’t speak to durability yet, and I’ve no idea how they’ll hold up in an Ohio winter. Size-wise, I wear 10.5 US, and the size 11’s of these shoes fit well so I’m guessing they run a hair small.

Nice casual shoes
These are nice casual shoes that feel very solid. They are comfortable of course and are made with tasteful leather, The outsole feels Much thicker than the Primus Lites that I own. They state that the color may bleed when wet. I'm curious for the reason they did not coat the leather with some sort of sealer to lock in the color and prevent bleeding? Good looking barefoot shoe!

I wear them like slip-ons, tied loosely.
These are my everyday office shoes. I don't commute in them, but do a lot of walking and standing at my desk.
Since I'm never needing to RUN anywhere, I keep mine tied really loosely. Partly for air flow, partly because they now slip on and off with minimal pressure. To me, much nicer than un/tying laces twice a day.

Great Shoe- surprisingly warm
This shoe is wonderful and I use it for work all the time. The fit and feel keep me light on my feet all day. The only downside for me is that I work inside and this shoe keeps my feet a little too warm all day. However it’s perfect outside, in cooler temperatures, or if your feet tend to run cool.

So far so good
I've been using these shoes for work and I've been able to wear them all day without much pain. I was nervous they would make my tendinitis/plantar fascitis worse. These shoes haven't solved my problem but they haven't made things worse.

Great business casual shoe
I got a pair of these shoes for a casual work environment. They are very comfortable, look very good with khakis or jeans, and are not too hot for being a leather shoe. I would highly recommend. I typically wear a 9-1/2 in not-Vivo shoes, I found a size 9 to be an excellent fit.

Great Shoe
This shoe is great for business casual workplaces. It's extremely comfortable after you break them in. There's no need to worry about the break in period due to the company's trial period. I love how the shoe fits and how it feels. The leather looks and feels great.

Feels Natural and Comfortable
The shoes are stylish and are good for use in semi-formal settings or casual. Comfortable and allow the toes to splay outwards in a natural pattern. It is also great to finally wear shoes in the proper length and width without having to sacrifice appearance. such as extra long "wide" shoes purchased from traditional shoe stores.

Best shoes I’ve ever worn!
These shoes were everything that I expected. At first I was hesitant due to the price but once I tried them on I immediately knew I made the right decision. The quality of the shoes leads me to believe that they will be worn for a good while. These look great for a casual night out.

So I am a size 8. The size 7 can fit if your an 8. This can be misleading. Remember to get the size you wear your usual shoe i.e. Vans, Docks, Nike, Rebok, etc. I enjoyed the fit but you want the theraputic benefit that comes with a shoe that has sufficient room in the toe box. 2nd Pair, Love my Vivos
I purchased my first pair of Vivo's in March (Gobi II) and instantly was in love. I was worried that these would be flimsy, they are not, I worried they would be uncomfortable, they are not. In fact, both pairs are the only thing i wear now. I do wish they were a bit more affordable so that I could buy multiple pairs, but I will say that despite the price I am happy with the purchase!

I like the look and feel of these. They feel similar to my other pair of Vivos. I ordered in brown and can be worn in office or out to dinner. Only complaint is that shoe laces don’t really match color of soles. I would recommend these to anyone looking for an everyday shoe.

Height of toe box may be a little short but overall seems comfortable. I wear size 11 with most shoes but for these 12 seems right. Note this seems to be the case with most minimalist shoes. For example I wear 12.5 with all altra shoes.

Great all-around work shoe
I bought the black RA II in size 12.5

I've had another (oxblood red) pair of RA II's for at least five years. The sole lasts longer than anything I've ever used.

So I was willing to pay a little more for these. I prefer to wear them without the insole and without socks, Miami Vice style.

The 13 ran big for my (typically) US size 13.5 feet, and the 12.5 was just barely big enough.

But the look, the quality, and the comfort are excellent. I used to balk at the higher price, but if this shoe lasts as long as the other pair, it's worth every penny.

Plus if you call their customer support, you get to hear real British accents. Vivo can probably only guess how much Americans love Brits :)

I have had these shoes for a couple weeks and so far I am happy with them. They seem to be quality construction, and they live up to my expectations from a barefoot shoe. The colors are a bit more vibrant than I was expecting, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Based on my previous experience with Vivobarefoot, I expect they will last quite a while.

"I can no longer wear 'regular' shoes"
I bought these for my husband, who, asked to comment for this review, said, "I love them. I can no longer wear regular shoes. I stand straighter and more connected to the earth. If I put on a pair of 'regular' shoes, they feel ridiculous."

Best business casual shoe I've worn
This is easily the most comfortable and well-fitting business casual shoe I've ever worn. It's just the right width and size, and the sole is comfortable as well. The maneuverability is amazing and it gets me through the day no problem. The insole could perhaps provide a little more cushioning or be a different material other than cork, but it works well enough. I definitely recommend giving these a try if you're looking for a business casual shoe.

Versatile minimalist shoe
Excellent pair of dress up or casual shoes. I’m a no socks kind of guy and these look super cool without socks. The fit is true to size. I’m an 11 in men’s US and got the size 44 and they fit perfect. Definitely recommend these if you’re a first time Vivo buyer. These were my first pair and I’m already waiting on my Gobi 2 and Stealth pairs to arrive.

Fits True To Brannock Device
I normally wear a 13 in running shoes like Nike Frees, but I was measured for dress shoes using a Brannock Device at about a 12-12.5. I went with the 12.5 and there's about a thumb's width between my toes and the front of the shoe, just like the size guide says there should be. I do have to pull the laces super tight when tying, just FYI.

I'm enjoying the shoes so far and my toes are happy to have the extra real estate. The only main criticisms I have right now (I've had them for about a week) is that they crease pretty quickly and the shoe laces are super stiff, if that makes sense. Overall, I'm much happier with these than my last pair of leather shoes and I'll probably pick up a pair in black too.

Amazing shoes
Amazing shoes!! Everyone at work cant stop asking me where I get my shoes from. They are so comfortable I will be buying another pair. Only issue is they are squeaky out the box. I will see if it goes away in time. The cork bed also does not stay in place while walking for a long while, I have to stop and readjust it every 2 to 3 hours of walking at work.

Perfect for Casual Workplace
These shoes are a fantastic way to take your barefoot style to work. Soft, supple leather and a flexible sole, feels like I'm wearing slippers at work. I just added a little shine with a beeswax leather conditioner as the original finish on the shoes is quite matte. Not bad looking, but for work I wanted a little more shine. Plus I want to protect these shoes so they last as long as possible. Love them so far.

Stylish, Perfect for work.
I purchased both the black and the tan pair. These shoes are the most comfortable work shoes I've ever worn. The leather stretches and conforms over time. If you need extra padding, you can slide a thicker insole in there no problem.

Awesome shoes!
The RA II's are awesome. I've been wearing zero-drop, zero support shoes for quite some time and am not happy with anything else. I recently discovered Vivobarefoot. These shoes are a replacement for my LEM 9-to-5's. The size and color I wanted were out of stock. The RA II's are equally as good in my opinion. Great ground feel, great looking, and seem well built. Time will tell. The size chart worked out great as well, size 44 LEMs and size 11 RA II's are a perfect match. Thanks

I bought these for my bf after reading some reviews from people with flat feet. He was skeptical at the beginning and now cannot get them off! He loves them! Great quality, runs large
This is my first experience with this company. I was very impressed with the quality of the shoe. Right out of the box the leather is very soft and flexible.

I have very small, narrow feet. I bought the smallest size (size 7) but it was too wide and long for my feet. It is a great looking shoe, but I wish they made sizes smaller than 7. Since then I have been trying some styles that span men's and women's sizes that have worked out for me.

they fit a little more snug than the primus, i would prefer a half size bigger in these.

I love these shoes so far - they're just as comfortable as I have come to expect from vivos, and they look nice too - more understated and conventional looking than many of their other offerings I've tried. My only gripe is this - the cork insole slips down in the right shoe, so that my toes hang off about 1cm. it's super annoying, but the tiny cushion they provide makes the shoes extremely comfy, so... I just kind of deal with it. If this wasn't happening I would be really happy with them, but as is I am at like an 8/10 on the Ra

Nice Material, could look better
The material is great for this, but the shoe could use some more design details as the plain toe box looks more like a pair of waders than a nice shoe. They need to add some lines, but overall the toe box feels great and it fit well.

Great shoe for work or play
I originally bought the us size 10 because I have a wide foot and standard 9 or 9 1/2 shoes tend to be a little narrow. I returned the 10 and ordered the 9 and I love this show! I am on my feet all day in a retail management environment with hard floors under my feet all day. These shoes can totally handle that, I do have to wear them with the cork insole though or it is too hard on my feet. My foot pain quickly went from a constant 7 to a 4 and after a few weeks of wearing these shoes I would say a 1. New favorite shoes, I can't wait to try some of the others.

Super comfortable and stylish shoe. I don't use insoles in any of my other vivobarefoot shoes but the insoles it comes with are ridiculously comfy and the only ones I use.

RA II - RA RA RA!
I love the RA II's. This is actually my second pair as I walked my other pair into the ground (no pun intended).

It is the first shoe I have ever had that felt great and I haven't turned back. Wearing non VIVOBAREFOOT shoes for me is blah.

That said, they look great with slacks, and can also be dressed down.

Word of caution, in cold weather, your toes will feel like they are wet. Close to no insulation. That said, I prefer that to warm feet because of the way they feel.

Totally recommend them.

Disappointing looks
The quality of these shoes is good or fine. They are also very comfortable. However, I do not find the brown version very good-looking. The style of leather that they used for the shoe reminds me more of moccasin slip-ons more than anything else, and personally the color of the laces and sole contrast poorly with the body of the shoe. I will be returning these for a pair of the all black ones instead.

Perfect Spring/Summer shoe
I have a very wide flat foot and finding quality leather casual shoes can be a daunting task. My go to's shoes used to be Cole Haan's but they have huge thick soles that give you absolutely no feedback. Being more connected to the ground to strengthen my feet has helped me IMO.
The leather on the RA II is supple and cleans up easy with shoe polish. I'm a bigger dude (250lbs) and really put a lot of wear and tear on my shoes, so it should be interesting to see how these hold up.

Awesome design but too warm for me
Love the design/aesthetic of this shoe, but if you're in a hot climate it's way too hot and not very breathable. Even removing the thermal insole does not help very much.
Otherwise, it's very comfortable and fits like other Vivo shoes. The sole is a bit heavier than I expected. It's more like the sole from Vivo's boots or hiking shoes. It's not nearly as light or thin as casual shoes like the Ra II.

Great Work Shoes
The shoes pass the business casual test for work. The wild hide leather seems to be a bit fragile and will show marks if you bump/scrape anything, so I would be careful around it.

Great shoes
I am in retail management and spend most of my days on my feet on hard floors. When I ordered these shoes I was very excited for what they might do to help my foot pain. They did not disappoint, I wore them for two days and I could tell something was different from day one. I did end up order inng them too large so I ordered a size smaller than the initial pair, so I'm grateful for the 100 day trial as well.

Like the barefoot, customer service not as great
These shoes are nice, easy to travel with and still look professional. Vivo sold these for $30 cheaper a couple of days after I bought them, and I tried to work with them to get that pricing instead of returning them and buying a new pair. They waited until the sale was over to respond back to me, so that the pricing wasn't valid anymore...

This is my fourth pair of vivos. My first pair was a gift and I loved them but they were to small, size 12. My next pair (Lotus) I bought a full size up and I still wear them but they are just a half size too big. The next year I bought a pair of the Lux shoes at a 12.5- my favorite pair ever. My foot has finally started busting out the side of the toe box. This is my first non athletic shoe (Ra) and I bought 12.5, they definitely seem snug and I am hoping the leather stretches. I am also probably going to exchange the brown and yellow laces for all brown, not a fan of the yellow shoe laces.

Love the company and encourage anyone I know to try them!

Ra II brown
The leather brown and high contrast yellow laces make a very smart pair with navy blue, teal, or indigo colored clothing. I like the wide toe box and the length dimensions. The vertical dimensions feel slightly restrictive against the top of my foot but not uncomfortable. Hopefully, they'll stretch. They seem durable for long lasting wear.

Barefoot shoes with a "dress" feel
I have been using Vivobarefoot shoes for a while now. The RA II is a neat looking minimalist shoe. The leather on this shoe feels so good when you run your hands on them. The foot bed is comfortable and wide, just like the other vivos I have had. There is no break in time required for this as the leather is soft already. The cork insole is great in cooler weather conditions, but obviously not suitable in snow. I invested in NikWax products to waterproof and care for it, as suggested by Vivo team.

Beautiful and comfy shoes
Amazing shoes! I love Vivo shoes. This was my seventh Vivo pair. Great quality and looks great. One thing to note though: all my other Vivo pairs fit perfectly at US8 (EU41), but this one runs a bit small. I had to go up one size. I also have the Lisbon pair, and same thing -- looks like the leather ones run ca. half a size smaller, so watch out. Otherwise, fabulous.

Good shoe, but not breathable
The shoes are comfortable and look good, but I don't think I can keep them because they don't breathe well. Within a few minutes of wearing them, my feet started to sweat. But others may not have this issue. If you are curious about this shoe, I suggest trying it out and seeing if it works for you.

Modern Classic
Love these shoes a lot. I like wearing boat shoes but sometimes they are not appropriate for the setting. Normal dress shoes are much too tight in the forefoot and these solve that issue. I have a low volume foot and found I had to crank the laces to make them fit or wear thicker socks. Overall love them, very comfy.

I love the Rain II. They are now my go to all around shoe. I was worried as first about my feet sweating inside the leather shoe, ad they do in other leather dress shoes, but the cork insoles seem to keep my feet dry. I've been tempted to even put those both insoles in my trail runners.

The RA 11 is a great shoe to add to your wardrobe. Although not the most professional shoe out there, it serves a great use for a business casual attire and allows your foot to be like a foot. I wore them several times and have had zero discomfort with them unlike my previous dressier shoes.

Sole is wonderfully flexible. Plenty of space for the toes. And the look is simple, in the best of ways. The tobacco brown was a little bit darker than expected; it would be nice to have an option in a lighter brown. Otherwise, don't change anything about this shoe.

I'm really liking this shoe!
So far, the Ra II is really working out for me. The upper is still a little stiff and presses into my foot where it bends with each step, but I believe that will resolve as the leather softens. The shoes seem well-constructed and give me excellent ground-feel. The biggest problem with my previous minimalist shoes (VFF) is that whenever I step on wet ground, my feet become instantly wet as if I were actually barefoot. This is fine when it's warm, but was problematic on some recent winter hikes. The Ra II does not seem to have that problem. I've avoided puddles, but I've walked across wet surfaces multiple times and my feet have stayed dry! I will definitely be looking through the rest of the vivobarefoot catalog to find me a new hiking shoe! I might even try your running shoes.

Perfect for work
I wear minimalist running shoes all the time. I own 4 pairs of New Balance Minimus Trail shoes because they are perfect for me on the trail and have always looked nice enough for my tastes for going to work and out on the town.

But now that I have to dress a bit nicer for work it was time to find a minimalist shoe that looks great, fits my wide feet, and allows me to still feel in touch with the ground. These shoes check every box and I’ve had a number of people remark on how good they look with my suit.

I do wish I could have found something vegan that worked for me, but for now I’ll have to trust that the African rawhide Vivo uses is as legitimately cruelty free as they insist it is.

Very comfortable shoes, love the room for my toes! Really only grip is that the color is a lot darker than pictured on the website.

Also I would suggest going for the size above when using the shoe matcher and it suggesting 2 sizes. My feet swell up slightly from the morning to end of day and if yours do to then the larger size is more confortable imo, these shoes fit like gloves, which isn’t a bad thing but just good to know.

Simple, elegant, well-made shoes are difficult to find. I can recall perhaps 3 times in the last 40 years where a shoe has been comfortable, tasteful and a pleasure to wear - including not being over-padded with imposed arch support, large welts...

While I just recently received the Ra II, size 11 Men's, in black, I can say that they have been a pleasure to find. Comfortable, tasteful, well made. I anticipate them lasting well, and I will be looking at other shoes from Vivo Barefoot...

What another great product from VIVO!

I bought this one (my 3rd pair) for a little more casual dress up. The shoe is super comfortable, as I have learned from the other 2, no surprises there. It looks great with Jeans, or Khali's (I have the brown one, black was sold out). Very happy with the shoe, and the Vivo concept, it has changed how I walk, feeling the texture of the grout has given me without a doubt much more energy. Great shoes, responsiveness to be improved
Shoes are really great - comfortable, soft leather, great design - it's hard to wear any other shoes after trying those. They do look a bit funny (I wear them to work), but it's all more than compensated by better comfort, health and good posture you get.

Responsiveness of customer service was poor - taking long time to send me a response, half time either my email was left with no response or my questions were ignored / not answered.

So if it was for customer service, I would not come back as client. But product is so good that I will, hoping to receive in future responses within 48 hours as promised.

Very Happy with my shoes
Im really happy with my shoes. Very well made and stylish. The insert doesn't fit perfectly when looking at it but when I'm wearing the shoes it feels quite perfect and comfortable. I was stepping a bit hard with my heels and had to adjust to the thin sole. I love the product. I recommend it.

The most comfortable shoe I’ve owned.
I have waited a few years after getting burns once with ordering the wrong size for another pair and having to give them to my brother. When I couldn’t wait anymore and all my shoes and sneakers had been worn through I finally decided to try again. The sizing chart is accurate and I received the shoes with haste. I put them in and immediately they became a part of my foot. I am excited to put them in the morning and I wear them happily all day. Comfortable and Stylish
Even though my first pair looked and felt like a quality product I couldn’t help but think I had just paid a lot of money for a lot less shoe....then I wore them. It took a couple times to get used to the unique feeling of the ground under foot but now I prefer my Vivos above all others and will be ordering more. I am 230lb with wider feet and typically wear 9.5 or 10. The size 10 Ra II fit perfectly. I tend to be very hard on shoes and have been very impressed with how well they have held up.

Great shoe

Great Quality, "Meh" Style
Ok this is a great quality shoe, feels extremely comfortable regarding the size of the toe-box, and the leather is a handsome-looking dark brown. It's lightweight and simple.

On the downside, to be frank they look kind of goofy for a business office setting. The shape is of course there for a purpose but it's not a typical "Oxford" that you'd see in a business/business casual setting. At least until collective styles change and people wake up to the fact that we need to all be wearing simpler, barefoot style shoes like Vivos. These definitely have a more casual vibe and work GREAT with some nice jeans and shirt.

Also the insoles keep sliding back on me as I walk throughout the day. I wear a 12 - it's got a little extra room but I think an 11 would be too small.

BOTTOM LINE - good to go for nice-casual wear, but not business office setting. Well constructed, good quality material. I get way more excited about wearing my Primus Treks though!

Great for the office

I love these shoes
These are my second pair of Vivo shoes, the first being the Primus Lite variety. Both sets of shoes are very comfortable and helped heal my plantar fasciitis. I made the mistake of not wearing socks with my first pair, and maybe I have stinkier than average feet or something, but this was an issue as I ended up machine washing them a few times [not recommended] and caused them to wear prematurely. Lesson learned, wear socks and enjoy these shoes.

Thin sole, yet comfortable
This is my second pair of Vivobarefoot shoes (the other one being Primus Lite). Ra II are very comfortable due to the inner cork insole, and flexible. Leather makes them look casual, and warm. They seem to provide some level of waterproofing (yet I have not being in copious rain with them). I cannot speak about durability as I have only used them for a couple of weeks until now.

I believe that the greatest feature of Ra II is its removable cork insole: without it you will get a direct feeling with the ground, but prone to getting quite chilly feet if temperatures drop sensibly; with the cork insole, shoes are still very flexible but a comfortable cushioning effect and additional thermal protection (I guess it will not stand for snowy winters though) is added.

These are becoming my everyday-use shoes.

Dress shoe/Running Shoe
Very comfortable and great ground feel. I've never worn dress shoes that looked good yet felt good. I've seen shoes that I thought were perfect only to find that they felt the need to splash a logo on it and disqualify any professionalism. This pair looks good with a suit or jeans. Not only that, the first day I went for a walk and couldn't stop myself from running because they felt so good. I'm not a fan of running, but I ran a mile in them anyway.

The only issue I'd say is if you're wearing skinny pants and have big feet they look a little awkward. However, if your pants cover up the heel portion so you can't see the difference in width between the ankle and toe box, then it's not an issue.

That said, I absolutely LOVE these shoes!

Form and function but not stylish
The RA II Mens is my 3rd pair of VIVOBAREFOOT shoes. So, it goes without saying that I love your company. This 3rd pair was to be my work shoes. Great semi formal work shoes
Bought these for work as a waiter and they're great. Plenty of room for my toes and even after a day on my feet they still feel comfortable. Only downside is that the prominent rubber sole makes them look a little too casual but nobody has noticed yet! Highly recommended.

Daily Driver

Ra II review!
I received my RA II shoes about two months ago and wear them about five days a week. They are incredibly comfortable and help with my overall posture throughout the day.

They have shown one instance of wear on a side stitch that is starting to come out. That seems a little early for the shoe to begin to come apart in that way. Otherwise, I am overall very satisfied with this product.

Versatile shoe -- dresses up with one user modification
Wonderful shoe, with lines that work in many situations. The black version has one small section at the heel which is a light tan suede, but dying it with black shoe dye makes it suitable for most business wear. (DON'T use shoe polish, which will rub off. I used Kelly's "Cobbler Professional Grade Heel & Sole Dressing", purchased for $7 at my local shoe repair).

Quality Office/Casual Shoe
This is my first pair of barefoot shoes and I absolutely love them.

Comfort: 10/10 - very lightweight, plenty of room for the toes

Style: 7/10 - not exactly my style of shoe but I was looking for something I could get away with wearing to the office but that I could also go for walks in during my lunch break without having to worry about soiling. That being said, they fit the bill perfectly.

Performance: 9/10 - I've only had them for a week but they've been holding up great during my 3 mile daily walks and they've felt great every minute they've been on my feet while doing so.

I love these shoes!
I absolutely love these shoes! Over the last few years I had developed some foot issues that I discovered went away when I was barefoot. These shoes are the perfect solution. Like slippers for the office
These are great. I own them in both black and brown, and they've probably ruined me for other brands. I no longer have bunion and facia pain when wearing these with the Correct Toes. They do look a little different compared to normal oxfords, but not extremely granola like I was originally concerned. Any way, the comfort more than makes up for it. Other mainstream shoe makers need to pay attention.

My body love Vivo shoes
I am 65 years old and very active. Since I discovered Vivobarefoot my feet no longer get sore though I am in my studio on concrete all day. My knees and hips are much happier too. I always understood that arch supports and thick soles were important. Now I know better. Our feet and legs were designed to walk and run as they are. Adding soles and padding is detrimental. Thank you VIvo, for this awesomness.

Great for work
Very stylish shoe. It can be dressed up with a nice pair of khakis or dressed down with jeans. The fit is great, I will say the right shoe fits a tad bit large but thats mainly because my right food is smaller than the left but does not affect comfort and does not slip off or anything. The leather is very supple and looks very durable.

Great, but
The shoe is great, in most ways better than the last pair I had. But when the shoes came, the insoles were not inserted. I had to do it myself, and they don't seem to fit right - the insoles keep sliding to the back and my toes hang over the front edge. Just slightly uncomfortable in an otherwise great shoes.

The RA II Mens perform as described. They are a minimalist and very simple looking casual/formal shoe but they are noticeably different from a traditional dress shoe, which could be an issue for you if you don't want to stand out. Comfortable Shoe

Long lasting Shoes
Ordered size 10.5 - loved these shoes. Lasted me for a whole year of daily wear (We get all 4 seasons here, I kept them out of the snow but regardless). Considering I walked to work just about every day for the full year I had them, they were a great long term purchase. Will be buying again, would recommend to anyone.

More comfortable than expected
My first Vivobarefoot purchase was a pair of Primus Lite exercise shoes, which I didn't feel comfortable wearing when I wasn't at the gym...and I don't go to the gym often. So I decided on these RA II everyday shoes because they look great with a pair of jeans and I can get the barefoot experience. I really thought I would have issues because my arches are pretty high, but these are far more comfortable than expected. I'm looking to purchase a pair of Tracker FGs next for this upcoming winter. and then I'll have Vivobarefoot for all occasions.

Great shoes for both casual occasions and in the office. Toe box is plenty wide but a little narrow from top of the foot to the bottom. This resolved after a little break in (leather will always stretch). All and all they are great shoes and I plan to buy another pair.

Classy, comfy, barefoot
Classy leather barefoot shoes. They look formal, but I wear them almost everyday around the city.

They are very comfy and fit me perfectly. The cork insole feels very smooth. A note about the insole: it didn't fit right when I first got them. Seemed like the insole was a tad bit too long. After breaking the shoes in with the insole inside, it now fits perfectly.

My only complaint is that some of the glue between the sole and leather has started to separate. This is to be expected, as shoes get a lot of abuse, but it happened after about a month of normal wear. We'll see how they hold up.

Ripped Seam
The RA IIs fit well shape wise and their flexibility is great.

Unfortunately, after minimal use in a clinical setting the seam that attaches the sole to the leather upper has started to separate right at the metatarsal bend. This is a bummer because Vivos aren't cheap...I have 6 other pairs of Vivos and this has never happened before.

So comfortable
After one week straight of wearing my RA II's I truly love them. They look awesome and are really comfortable. I was a little worried about no half sizes as I am consistently a 10.5 but the 11's fit exactly like I want. The softness of the leather inside and their flexibility make these exceptionally comfortable. If you aren't used to little cushion, no angle shoes then ease in. For those used to it, you wont want to wear anything else.

Perfect width shoe - eventually !Found
This shoes allow my toes to have space and to do their job, eventually (after so many years of wearing too narrow, and stiff formal shoes). The shape of the shoe, accompanied with the sole that allows you to feel the ground is THE perfect combination for my feet.
Once you get used to actually feeling your feet you will be happy with the shoe, and wear it very often.

Great product
I have been wearing the Merrill trail glove barefoot for years and thought I was a real barefooted. Turns out the Merrill’s still have a fair amount in the way of structure arch wise, and I was not completely prepared for having none as with the ra. Without the soles the ra was a little too not there for me and my feet quickly fatigued. After putting in the included cork insoles they felt MUCH better, even though the insoles seem too big just put them in and put them on, it actually fits great and I think molds to your foot and the shoe is why it is a little big when you first put it in. After just one day wearing the ra I already prefer it to my Merrill’s. It is true barefoot with no structure and I know my feet and body will also be better for it in the long run. And I think they look nice, not super formal but plenty for my new job as a teacher.

Great barefoot shoe!!
Finally, an affordably priced, good looking shoe that is good for your feet! I am a dedicated Vibram FiveFinger wearer for running and every day activities. I have been looking for a closed shoe that still supports barefoot mechanics to wear in more inclement weather, or when FiveFingers would just be too scandalous (I have worn them with my suit and my evening tails at formal events, however!). I have only had them for a week, and only twice had to wear them due to weather, and they are very comfortable. I noticed that my feet were a little sore after the first day wearing them, which surprised me, given that I spend so much time barefoot. But the next day I wore them, I did not notice the soreness. I am very happy with these shoes!

I am in love with this shoe! I am a female who has to purchase Men's shoes from this company because I usually wear a size 12 woman or men's 10.5. I purchased a size 11 and it was perfect. I have worn them everyday since I got them and I get so many complements! They are also so comfortable, I don't want to wear anything else. They felt broken in the first time I put my foot in them. They do not rub anywhere and I feel like they are pretty resilient. I am hard on my shoes, but I feel like these can handle that.

Nice Shoe
I got interested in barefoot shoes because I struggle with achilles tendonitis and I find that going barefoot and wear CorrectToes helps to relieve this. As a result, I was looking for a barefoot style shoe which would be appropriate for the office, unlike many of the somewhat bizarre looking brands out there. This shoe was perfect for that purpose. Although my feet are still getting used to it, I really enjoy the barefoot feel I get to have all day long now. I like the style of the shoes too, and the neutral colors match with pretty much everything. Overall I am quite happy with the purchase despite the shoes being a little bit more expensive than what I would normally buy. I hope they are durable and last a long time in the future, and I look forward to seeing how my feet continue to get healthier!

First pair of great shoes.
These shoes are my first step toward making my feet, ankles, and knees stronger. I am very impressed, I was looking for something that I could wear to the office and these are the ones. I have gotten compliments on them. I got the brown ones and they came with boot laces, so I changes that and got some laces that matched the shoes so they looked like normal office shoes, but that is the only thing I changed. My body feels better and I am happy I am making a change that will benefit me later in life.

So Comfortable
This is the first pair of shoes I ordered from Vivo and my first pair of barefoot shoes in general. I was a bit nervous at how they would fit, feel and look, but I have been pleasantly surprised on all counts. They are especially comfortable, they fit extremely well (normally a size 10 and the 10s fit perfectly with the liner and a thin sock or no sock), and I like the look of them more than I initially thought even. My only wish is that they had them in a lighter brown too!

Not for me
A very comfortable, light weight shoe, made from nice leather. Felt great on my feet. Would probably be excellent for travel - they pack down so lightly.

The problem?

The style of the shoe.

The contrasting gum sole and the bright Eastland cord laces of the brown model call too much attention to the fact that the shape of these shoes are an awkward shoe silhouette. It can only be worn in the most casual of settings and only if the user had decided to forgo style for comfort/health - rendering these shoes a modern equivalent of the clumsy and chunky orthotic shoes old men sported in the 1980s.

A modern man should not need to make such choices.

I like the company, so I will be on the lookout for other models. The Ra II is not for me.

Very comfortable
I have the vivotrek shoes and love them so I was looking for something a bit dressier to wear to work. I usually wear a size 9.5 but the 9s fit great with dress socks. My only complaint is that from the top the shoes look a bit like clogs. Otherwise they are fine with a pair of dress pants.

Awesome shoes.
I really love Vivo Barefoot shoes. Many painful issues with my knees and hips have subsided significantly since I have worn these.
Customer service does need to significantly improve, however, as I was trying to purchase my third pair of Vivo shoes, I was sent the wrong size and now I am not able to get the size I need.

The shoes are fantastic and well made. I would definitely recommend.

The Ra II is a great business shoe. They fit a little snug at first, but after a couple of days they have really soften and loosened up. Now, as another reviewer described them, they are a comfortable leather slipper. You can really feel the ground. It has only been a week so I don’t know how long they will last, but so far as good!

Love them!
These shoes are awesome! I love being barefoot and have giant (size 16 feet). I have a hard time finding shoes and have never found any barefoot options available for me until these shoes. They are everything I wanted and as an environmental science major the eco-friendly aspect is perfect.

Really nice work shoe!
This is a great work shoe! I have been having arch support and knee issues, and I have tried different shoe inserts - but nothing seemed to be a durable solution. These barefoot type shoes are super light and comfortable, and they permit me to find natural footing rather than to have an over-cushioned shoe twist my foot in a direction it shouldn't go. These shoes make my work day go a lot smoother, and they hold up to the tough DC streets!

Great shoe...but some service issues
Tried ordering this shoe multiple times. Charge would immediately post to my credit card, but no shipping information would be sent. I needed to reach out to customer service to get a credit twice. Shoe finally shipped on third try!

Shoe is great. Width and length are about right for me (size 13). Brown is a little darker than expected. I walk a lot at work so we'll see how well it holds up.

I am interested in ordering this shoe in black, but the 13s must have sold out almost immediately. I want to be a loyal customer, but it seems there are some production/operations issues to figure out. That is the only reason for a lower star rating, otherwise I would've given this review a 5.

Needs half-sizes
There's an entire market of people who can't benefit from these shoes, just because they don't exist in half sizes. I'm a 10 1/2 and I've been needing these shoes, so my only complaint would be to include more sizes.

Love the shoes
The shoes are great. They are good looking and comfortable. There is so much room in the toe box which takes some time to get used to but feels amazing for my feet. All around a good product. The one issue I had was the cork insoles don't fit in the shoes well, but otherwise I love them.

Finally!
I have been looking for a casual "dress shoe" for years that I could wear to a wedding or a nice outing that didn't have a triangular shaped toe box, an exaggerated heel, and high drop. I love the Ra for its comfort, style, and ability to be worn anywhere.

I purchased these for summer casual wear and I absolutely love them! They are stylish and do not draw the negative attention other minimalist shoes may. Probably my favorite shoe, really
This shoe is extremely comfortable, and stylish. I seriously may not wear another shoe. The photo is somewhat misleading; the leather on my pair was dyed to a slightly darker brown, and the stitching was slightly lighter. I actually like the contrast, though. Also, an extra pair of red laces was included for funsies.

Awesome shoes
I have very wide feet and have always had a problem finding shoes wide enough, especially black leather ones. Narrow shoes have caused me knee discomfort and I was concerned about hurting my knees. The Vevo shoes are wide, very accommodating and very comfortable. I find I can walk fast comfortably without any twisting in the knee. I will be buying more Vevo's in the future. This is not my first minimialist shoe, so I was conditioned to the feel of such a shoe, but for a person who's never worn a minimalist, the best way to describe one is think of wearing sandals.

Another footwear compromise
These shoes will not fit without a thin sole, they have very little vertical space. I cannot speak for genetically perfect feet, but for me walking in them feels far from barefoot.

It seems that vivo is concerned more with barefoot aesthetics than barefoot mechanics.

However, with aesthetics in mind, this is the only "barefoot" shoe company with shoes that I'd actually want to seen in.

Another great shoe in this style. I have every color. The black leather is so nice and has a little shine to it...but not too much. The leather is maybe a little softer and more supple than the tobacco Ra II. I like that. Love them both though. This shoe is very versitle in terms of style and can be easily worn with shorts and no socks (thanks to the fabulous leather footbed), or a suit. And anything in between.

I love these shoes. These were my first pair of vivos and i actually have four pair of them ..in every color. I especially love the leather footbed in them. I usually wear them without socks year round (and it gets cold here). The leather is very nice looking and can be worn with business casual, casual and even dressed up.

My husband LOVES it!
I got these shoes for my husband's birthday and he LOVED them! He has very wide feet and says these shoes are the most comfortable for his feet size. He's now interested in buying some for the gym since he usually takes off this shoes to lift. These will be perfect! I definitely recommend giving these shoes a try. I like it.
What I hate about formal or casual dress shoes is the "anti-minimalist" features. Lift in the heal, thick soles, rigid materials. But Ra II gets everything right. So much less strain on my knees and feet when I've got to dress it up a notch, very satisfied with my purchase.

I'd give this a 95% rating. If they took that thin strip of beige colored leather in the heel, and made it black like the rest of the shoe, I'd give it a 100%.

My second pair of barefoots
I decided after having some major heel pain while being a server/bartender who works on his feet 8 to 10 hours per day that I needed to taking better care of my feet. Not only do I use some physical therapy exercises, but I have fully switched my shoe collection to Vevo! I love them. My pain has reduced. My black primus firm ground are for work, playing with my daughter and exercise. My brown RAII are shoes I use when I want to look nicer but have quality foot posture. The leather has great look. The shoes are comfortable and go great with many outfits.

I did have to trim my sole insert on this pair just a tad, but once that was done it had me decide that I will be purchasing boots and some Stealth's next! :) grab some and enjoy.

What A Dress Shoe Should Be
All my life, as a man, I've been sold unhealthy shoes made by companies that design shoes after what the previous company designed, and so on and so on... never giving a thought to questioning anything except the color of the tragedy they produce.

This all ends now. For me at least. Now that I have the knowledge of minimalist footwear, and the website of a premium minimalist footwear manufacturer - I'm never going anywhere else for my footwear.

Made with beautiful black leather, it's unassuming. It blends right in (great for those of us who may want to have the occasional break from explaining why my shoe doesn't have a heel on it. It's stack height is perfect for real feel. Very minimalist. Not any cushion at all, without the wonderful, very functional cork insole. Which I recommend using, for moisture displacement. I sweat a lot though, even with a breathable product like this.

I want another pair of Ra II's in brown. The sizing works very much like a pair of 5 fingers, if that makes sense to you. Don't order a size up, unless it's recommended by Vivobarefoot.

Great job, Vivobarefoot! You've earned a lifetime customer, and AVID supporter of what you do.

Comfortable Shoe
Shoes are very comfortable to wear. It feels like I am walking around in slippers. The quality of the leather is a 5 out of 10. There are some marks in the leather. It is fine and not noticeable unless you look at the shoes from less than 4 feet away. Another pair I returned because the leather had a noticeable cut on the front. Vivo was great working on exchanging the shoes for new ones.

Good but needs more size range
The shoe is a new try for me. The comfort is wonderful from the top up. The contact sensation from ground is very real and a new experience I am adjusting too. It is different and it is good. I like!! However in the very common size range between 9 and 10 there NEEDS to be half sizes available. Most people also have two different size feet and the half size would allow a perfect fit. Also if the hide outside could be able to withstand a but more use without scratching and marring so easily. Maybe treated or buffed differently. It scratches with just tying shoe laces! So heres my two cents for your new two sizes VIVO.

Beautiful shoes
I've been ogling these shoes for a year now and finally treated myself to a pair recently.

Size is spot on, and the wide toe box is very comfortable. I use the cork insoles, and one of my only gripes is that it was tricky getting the cork insoles to not buckle when inserting them into the shoes. They almost seem a half size too large for the shoes. I'm sure they will settle down with some wear, though.

Overall, they are as beautiful and comfortable as I imagined they would be.

RA II: Dr. StrangeLove
Never considered myself the Vivos type. I am an Allen Edmonds guy. 30 years. Don't eat granola and tease my east-coast friends about their Birkenstocks. I bought my RA II's as an obvious travel accessory. They pack totally flat and go with anything, so pair with khakis or jeans on the road. Barefoot fit was not an option. Comfort was not a major consideration. Vivo lifestyle was a cute tag. But, putting on my Vivos for the first time was life changing (or at least lifestyle changing). Completely unlike anything on the market. Think six years old again digging your toes into the sand at the beach. Fun to wear (not to accessorize, fun to have on your feet). And premium quality materials that last. So I still wear Allen Edmonds (have to pay for my Vivos somehow) but look forward to the weekend and slipping on my new (Vivos) best friends.

At first they feel large (especially toe box) - this is really liberation! But they do probably run a bit larger than true (at least my three pair do).

Great "Casual" Barefoot Shoe
Great Barefoot Shoe!

I purchased this shoe for work in a business environment (financial institution). The purpose of the shoe, like all the Vivo shoes, is to give you an escape from the narrowing and confining dress shoes of today which it does hands down with the wide toe box. However, in my opinion the shoe is more geared for casual settings. It is a "dressier" shoe since it is an Oxford, however the material (which can be difficult to discern in the pictures) is more of a dull, porous looking vibe.

+Overall: the shoe fulfills the duty of proving the wearer of the barefoot experience, just for those who are thinking as a work shoe in a more business/dressier type environment, you will be dancing the line of acceptable or not (dependent on your company of course)!

Versatile Everyday Shoe
The RA II fits true to size and is what you expect from a barefoot shoe. I do think that it runs a little wide in the midfoot / toebox transition area and would prefer a slightly more narrow profile such as the Primus Lite for improved aesthetics.

The addition of a cork insole is great for walking around a city on pavement without losing the barefoot shoe feeling.

The black leather tends to have a bronze sheen in bright light which I could do without, but overall happy with the purchase.

While I have only had the shoes a week, so far they are great and it feels really good to go to a more minimal shoe. Yo definitely feel the earth under your feet which takes some getting used to, but it is nice to know my feet are acting as they should!

Perfect shoe for many occasions. I was lucky enough to be able to try on the show before I purchased, so I had no issuies with sizing. For me, one full size down from my normal running shoe worked fine.

Great dress shoe
These are great casual shoes, as I believe that's the target market, but I purchased them to wear as dress shoes daily at work. I wear a dress shirt & tie and these are dressy enough to work well with my work attire. The toe box is super wide, allowing a lot of toe splay and the super thin soles I know are help me strengthen my balance. Overall, I'm all in with Vivo's, they're amazing shoes, I've honestly purchased 7 pairs of different styles since. I highly recommend them.
