The Namib desert boot is made with camel leather: Specially selected for its rugged durability, this leather is naturally scarred and weathered as a reflection of a life of free-roaming. The upper is stitched into the sticky rubber hex flex sole. A removable nylon ankle strap and heavy duty laces keep sand and nasties out. This is a shoe that’s built to handle not only desert environment but also perfect for everyday city wear year round.

Patented, ultra-thin, puncture resistant layer. 5x more puncture resistant than a standard sole of the same thickness.
I've hiked in these a couple times and really taken a liking to them. The camel leather starts to look real nice once they get some wear.Sizing: I feel these run large for Vivos. I rock a EU45/US12 comfortably in all my Vivo Primus syles, but noticed that their boots styles tend to run large from a previous purchase. I went with the EU44/US11 and the length / toebox is perfect (even with socks on). While the toebox is extra wide and allows plenty of room for toes to splay, the recessed heel and laces secure the foot in place nicely., preventing the foot from sliding around.Leather: lightweight and pliable, yet tough. Was able to withstand sliding through some rocky terrain. Fast break-in period. The one thing that slightly worries me is the way the sole is stitched to the boot. Threads are already starting to fray from marching through some rocky terrain, especially on the "arch". I'm thinking that the factory glue will hold these together even if the stitching fails. Very happy with these as my new lightweight hiking boot.
Really great summer boot alternative to the Tracker FG. They are light and thin with little to no insulation. They fit a little larger than all of my other Vivobarefoot shoes, and not as form fitting on the top of the foot, but not so much so that it is uncomfortable. Without the cork sole, the footed is leather and comfortable. The padded collar has a great feel with low or high socks. Happy with my purchase.
