Our widest, simplest shoe pays homage to the original humans of the Rift Valley. Handmade in Ethiopia in partnership with Soul of Africa, an organization focused on creating opportunities for employment and education on the African continent. A truly collaborative effort, the print of Ababa Canvas is by Akaso, a Belgium-based label that works with Kara painters of Ethiopia to create unique and authentic designs.

We're confident that after experiencing the joys of natural foot freedom, your feet won't want to go back to 'normal' shoes.

Nice design

I like the looks of these shoes. But I ended up returning them bc the sole was too thin. They weren't comfortable for my flat feet.

Ababa Canvas Dot

I like the way they look. However...
I find that the canvas rubs my foot, as well as the rubber heel. Very irritating; especially on my toes and heels.
I was curious if some kind of liner might alleviate the problem.
I try to wear them all the time to perhaps wear them out a little.
My hemp sanuks are way more comfortable... Sorry. I’m planning on trying the primus knit men’s later.
