WORLD OF BAREFOOT: KIDS

We’ve joined forces with @Culturunners & @WHO to install pioneering environmental artist Agnes Denes' flag artwork on the roof of @TateBritain.

Us humans have been pretty terrible to the planet we live on. We need to take action. At Vivobarefoot we want to play our part in protecting the planet. 

BEING A GIRL is being redefined before our eyes.

It’s one of the most exciting parts of parenting tomorrow’s women today.
Well, we think so, anyway.

The sneakers – or trainers – that countless kids around the world pull on every day aren´t good for their feet, bodies OR brains.

Since then we have increasingly become an indoor species - TV, Phone, Gaming and Internet addicts - with a whole generations barely venturing outside. It is thought that both the average Brit and American spend about 90% of their lives indoors! Just take a second to digest that figure.

What are those little comments and asides we just keep on repeating over and over to our kids that we really need to take a step back from? Many are things we heard ourselves as kids, many are the expectations of the world around us.

Orthotics or arch support are commonly prescribed to children – and we believe this is usually a bad idea, often leaving far too many kids with weak feet and arches.
