Risky test trek...

Luckily this is a great shoe. I had the SG already and found it a little too rigid and narrow but decided to take a gamble on the FG anyway. Before walking 110km in Northern Sweden. What's that about trying out kit before doing anything long?

The material is a bit uncomfortable if you go barefoot inside it, but a light merino sock will dry out quickly if you get wet and keep you comfy when it's dry.

Grip is good and sole has plenty of flexibility without becoming sore on rocky ground (of which there is a lot on the Kungsleden!). The rubber won't take an absolute pounding though, as the three days hard walking did result in a few cracks. I reckon from previous Vivos they'll still last me a year or two as long as I don't do 100km every weekend!

Absolutely best thing is how quickly they'll dry out when you're walking. In about 10-15C temperatures I found my shoes and socks were dry within 15 minutes of walking out of a river. Envy of many a gore-tex footed companion.

One of my favourite Vivos.

Very comfy shoes

Very comfortable from day 1, no blisters. They give a grounded and stable feeling on rough surfaces. A bit wider around toes which is positive, leaves room to move toes naturally. Laces are easy to adjust, but the remaining loop is very long, had to wrap it around laces. This is not disturbing as it was just a one-time adjustment. Very slippery on smooth wet floors, great for outdoors.

great ideas

My reviews wont be completely true as the size i ordered was too big and it felt like a flipper! I think its quite big for sizing
