Namibi leather Womens (Camel leather)

Excellent boot, I walk 10 to 15 miles a day over various terrains (although not rocky) and I have been wearing them during the very hot weather. They have been extremely comfortable & have kept my feet nice & cool. I would definitely recommend them.

Could've been great

Unlike other leather boots that Vivo makes, the Namibs have a synthetic fabric trim stitched to the leather at the top of the boot and around the edge of the tongue, which, aside from the fact that it looks cheap, it rubbed and irritated my skin within just a few hours of wearing them. I imagine that this material is also more difficult to clean, and thus less hygienic than leather. Perhaps a long enough sock would help, but that would restrict my intended use for these boots.

A somewhat lesser issue is that the stitching on one boot seems a bit sloppy, with a long, loose thread left inside, which I wasn’t sure what to do with, so I chose to hide under the cork insole, rather than cut it and risk having the stitching come undone.

On fit & size: I have narrow-to-medium width feet, which are 22.8 cm and 23 cm in length. Size UK 3.5 (EU 36) fit super comfortable (aside from the issue described) right out of the box, with no break-in required. There’s still some space left in the front, such that my toes never touch the front of the boot even when I run, which is precisely what I’m after in such a boot. Toe box is perfect: very roomy, without being oversized.

These are light and super comfortable boots that I would’ve definitely kept, had it not been for the irritating fabric trim.
