Great looking design and well made but the design may need changes .
I've not had these long but after the first day wearing I have a blister on the back of both ankles. The back of the boot angles in and while it felt fine initially after only the first day wearing these my skin was bleeding from rubbing against the top ridge of the boot.
I've had several shoes and boots from vivobarefoot and this is the first time this has happened to me.
Great shoes, one flaw
This is the second pair of Vivos I've bought, other pair is a first gen pair of Scott bopts which I wear every day.
These shoes look fantastic, way better than they look in the pictures. Expensive but they look really well put together and you can see where the money goes.
The usual great sole and roomy toe box are both great.
Downside is the same as a lot of other people have mentioned, the ridge around the ankle and the back of the achilles specifically is way too rigid and pretty painful. Mine have softend up a bit but still a ways to go before they are really broken in. Hoping they sort themselves out soon. Bit of a design failure unfortunately.
Best looking product from Vivo?
I have to start by saying that these look brilliant. Understated but still distinctive. They complete my lineup of vivo shoes so that i now only have cycling shoes and ski boots left that are not vivos.
They are comfortable but i have found that unless you really festen them well the back can rub on your heel. I think that as they break in that will cease to be a problem so for now i take a extra few seconds to really get them on tight.
