Barefoot comfort at work

These are my favourite Vivobarefoot shoes to wear for work when the weather is warm. They're very comfortable to wear barefoot and there's no lining inside (unlike the Ra and Gobi for example which have a thin fabric lining inside). Therefore the foot can breathe easily through the leather. For comparison, after a few hours of wearing the Vivobarefoot Ra shoes in warm weather then my feet are a bit sweaty and the leather footbed is damp whereas with the Ababa, my feet don't sweat at all and the footbed remains dry.

So I think the unlined leather makes all the difference. Also the leather is soft and thin, so they're the most comfortable smart/casual style Vivobarefoot shoes I own to wear barefoot.

Therefore, this makes them perfect for me to wear for work during summer, since men are not allowed to wear sandals like the women are, and who wants to wear sweaty shoes and socks in summer (we don't wear gloves in summer do we?) I can get away with wearing these at work, as they're formal enough for the dress code police to allow them. They also look great as casual wear with jeans or shorts.

The soles feel a bit thinner than other Vivobarefoot shoes I've worn so ground feel is fantastic. They're also a bit wider than the Ra and Gobi. But they do run slightly smaller. I fit the Ra/Gobi in 44 but the Ababa is slightly tight in length. The next size up is too long and wide but since the leather is soft, it's starting to expand a bit to accommodate the length of my foot.

Overall I'm very happy with these shoes.

Great Product

Bought shoe as I have poor feeling in my feet and I wanted a shoe for driving.
It has met my expectations as it is comfortable very flexible and doesn't feel as though I am wearing a shoe,
my size is 43 or 9 and a half but size 9 seems to be fine and will no doubt stretch with time.
