Our widest, simplest shoe pays homage to the original humans of the Rift Valley. Handmade in Ethiopia in partnership with Soul of Africa, an organization focused on creating opportunities for employment and education on the African continent. A truly collaborative effort, the print of Ababa Canvas is by Akaso, a Belgium-based label that works with Kara painters of Ethiopia to create unique and authentic designs.

We're confident that after experiencing the joys of natural foot freedom, your feet won't want to go back to 'normal' shoes.

Ababa is a simple, hand stitched, comfortable canvas shoe on a mission. Profits generated by the sale of the Ababa are donated to the Soul of Africa Trust to support local projects focused on building futures for disadvantaged kids. Original prints by Akaso designed by Kara painters of Ethiopia.

sooo comfy and stylish too!

There are some comments saying that they run smaller than the size but I found that the size was the same as other vivobarefoot shoes that i have.

These are great for the summer in jeans and even better with shorts.

As soon as i slipped them on they felt really comfortable even without socks.

Excellent shoes

These are for my husband, he says that they are excellent. True to size, nice and wide. He only wears Vivo Barefoot nowadays, he was actually listed for bunion surgery until he made the change. Bunion has gone now, much to doctor's surprise.. Husband says that he will be wearing Vivo for the rest of his life, and recommends them unreservedly.
