Course structure
With three modules based on the three pillars of proper physical training, you’ll learn how to identify movement restrictions, restore natural mobility, develop full-body strength and train advanced calisthenics skills.
Module 1
Introduction
Meet your survival guide, get acquainted with forest geography and ecology, and explore the natural-health benefits of shinrin yoku (forest bathing).
Module 2
Planning
Consider how to travel intentionally, understand what and how to plan, master risk assessment, and learn how to survive wildfires.
Module 3
Preparation - Tools, Equipment and Clothing
Learn how to select and use a knife and saw, and optimise your sleeping gear, cooking equipment, safety kit, and clothing for the forest biome.
Module 4
Campcraft Skills
Understand how to build fires, shelters, and rope systems for a safe and comfortable camp – all while leaving no trace.
Module 5
Trailcraft Essentials
Learn how to reliably navigate with a map and compass, master essential knots for forest survival, and develop basic tracking skills.
Module 6
Wilderness Travel Techniques
Establish the fundamentals of canoe paddling and camping, packrafting, and 4x4 travel for safe, efficient forest passage.
Module 7
Bushcraft, Survival and Wildlife Hazards
Learn how to light fires, improvise shelter, and avoid hypothermia in emergency situations, and understand how to mitigate tick, dog, and bovine hazards.
