WRITE YOUR ‘LETTER TO THE EARTH’

WRITE YOUR ‘LETTER TO THE EARTH’

Vivobarefoot is on a mission to reconnect people with nature, starting at the soles of our feet. However, this reconnection goes beyond the physical. There is a need to engage emotionally with our natural world that humanity is pushing, increasingly noticeably, out of balance.

We are therefore proud to partner with arts organization ‘Letters to the Earth’ for a campaign to send personal messages to world leaders that it’s time for urgent action on the climate and ecological crisis. Click here to learn more about this project and how you can get involved.

Were asking you to join us in writing your own ‘Letter to the Earth.’

This can be written to or from anything - another species, a person or moment in time. It could be to the Earth itself, the future, a leader, or the sea. It's an opportunity to be creative. It can be a letter, and it can also be poetic, or dramatic, a drawing or another art form - whatever feels authentic.

We want to hear your visions, stories and messages for a better world in which our collective and planetary well-being is placed front and centre. What you have to say might just help us get there.

Previous campaigns from Letters to the Earth included submissions from artists including Yoko Ono, Nick Drake, Mark Rylance and Kae Tempest, alongside high-profile nature defenders including Farhana Yamin, Polly Higgins, Mary Annaïse Heglar and indigenous voices from the Amazon and Philippines.

Submit your contribution here and it will be added to a special ‘postal service’ that from September, will be delivering inspirational Letters about the Earth to the people who need to see them most. These will include decision makers attending the next UN climate summit (COP26) in November, that will determine the rest of our lives and those of generations to come.
