The Footwear Developer is responsible for managing the development process from concept through to production with supply chain partners in Vietnam, China, Portugal, and Ethiopia. Developing product and that continuously raises the bar in terms of fit, function, and materials.


The Footwear Developer is responsible for:

- Collaborating with Design, the Development and Commercialisation Manager and our Manufacturing Partners to provide technical guidance on new development & innovation support, highlight risks and potential challenges and suggest alternatives where possible.

- Communicate new briefs and product changes to global supply chains.Maintaining high awareness of the Critical Path to ensure information and samples are sent according to the seasonal timeline.

- Proposing cost saving options at each sample round to ensure that products are developed to target FOB wherever possible.

- Working to continuously improve product quality and ensure that Vivobarefoot shoes are developed to the highest standards, protecting our brand USP (WTF).

- Maintaining, enhancing, and implementing the future material toolbox ensuring testing, research and due diligence is carried out in good time during product ideation.

- Oversee lab testing both for material and finished goods.

- Supporting Product and Sustainability with the mapping and disclosure of Supply Chain and Materials traceability for customers to access.

- Utilizing the V-Matrix to score new products each season and use the information to improve the product score season on season.

- Conducting fit and wear testing on all new products throughout the season, then adjust the style where required based on the feedback and use the data for continuous product improvement each season.

- Conducting concept and usability testing and gather feedback.

- Championing best practice of usability and user-centric design.

- Developing wireframes, high fidelity experiences, interactive prototypes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively represent a solution.

The Active Footwear Designer is responsible for the footwear design of our Adults Active category. Researching trends and creating compelling new footwear concepts that meet the brand strategic priorities, category product briefs & seasonal design direction, set by the CDO and Senior Management Team.

The Active Footwear Designer is responsible for:

(A) Design Responsibilities:

  • Design solutions that are consumer & brand relevant and result in industry defining footwear.
  • Maintain design consistency through the product line from the direction outlined by the CDO.
  • Create concept boards and supporting artwork to illustrate the design concept, theme & product story.
  • Present and communicate creative solutions with clarity, effectively selling in ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Approach design with an agile dynamic perspective to bring fresh ideas to the process.
  • Researcg & identify future technologies, trends & opportunities.

(B) Technical Responsibilities:

  • Present ideas as hand-drawn sketches to digital presentations (rendered flat line, flat patterns, 2D/3D, technical drawings etc).
  • Present designs with sustainability at the centre, consistently evaluated against the V-Matrix.
  • Create technical drawings to represent construction information, ensuring accurate interpretation by development.
  • Research functional criteria for product to identify functionality benchmarks and work closely with development to test, evaluate and validate designs to these.

(C) Brand & Product Marketing Responsibilities:

  • Participate in creation of annual and long-term creative direction strategies.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure holistic storytelling & end-to-end creative excellence from sell-in to sell-out.

Employed and supported by a team of academic experts from the university, this post will be based at home and partially at the Vivobarefoot Ltd's premises in London. The position will also require occasional travels abroad.


-A sound understanding of supply chain and operations management, as well as good quantitative skills.

-Experience and knowledge of new product development strategies, manufacturing and engineering processes and the use of digitalisation technologies within these concepts.

-Demonstrable technical skills concerning the development of new processes in manufacturing organisations, with experience of the digitalisation of industry sectors.

-Understanding of agile methodologies and practical experience of delivering products using agile approaches.

-Excellent project management analysis and improvement techniques.

Job Title
Inbound Coordinator.

Vivobarefoot is growing fast and as it does, we are looking for someone to support our Logistics team with a focus on inbound shipments from factories to both warehouses and customers

The role will encompass all aspects of the supply chain activities from work required to enable the shoes to be despatched correctly, the despatch process, delivery and invoice reconciliation.

The Inbound Coordinator is responsible for:

- Monitoring shipments to ensure timely despatch from our factories across eCommerce, Wholesale and Distribution channels.

- Utilising Vivobarefoot systems (Netsuite) to create, monitor and report on movement of inventory from order creation through to shipping.

- Liaising with Vivobarefoot warehouses so that stock is receipted in accurately.

- Liaising with Distribution partners and factories / warehouses to provide updated on when partner stock will be collected.

- Creating ASNs to load into both warehouse partner systems before the stock arrives into the warehouses

- Once receipt confirmations are received from the warehouse, they will ensure stock is correctly reported on Netsuite and update duty and purchases with this info.

- Providing updates to the business on stock arrival and availability dates.

- Updating records so that all costs involved in the Inbound Supply chain are accounted for.

- Stock accounting for production.

- Providing cover for the Logistics Optimisation Manager coordinator when required.
