Smelly and unconfortable
Out of the box it had a very strong chemical smell that filled the whole house. I kept them next to an open window and did not touch them for a month until the smell kind of went away.
This glove like fit is very secure, especially in the ankle area that I find too wide in Vivo shoes. But it is hard to put these shoes on as the socks crumple. As they have no inner lining I would not use them without socks. The shoelaces are there mostly for decorative reasons.
For runs around 30 minutes I had no issues with them, but after that the left one creates two pressure points on my feet. These are painful. After an hour of easy running it rubbed the skin so much that it started bleeding.
I cannot imagine training in these on a regular basis and running races in them. I would not recommend these shoes at all.
Positive first experience of barefoot shoes
These were my first barefoot shoes and they really helped me to correct my running form. I normally use size 45 shoes but these shoes in size 45 were bit too narrow for me. Have to say lately I have tried few shoe models were size 45 was too small for me. So maybe my feet have gotten bigger, even thou growing at age 28 sounds bit weird. Overall good first experience.
A bit narrow for my widee feet
Bought these for running in the snow and otherwise wet environment. Will return, because they are a bit too narrow for me (I have very wide and high feet), so the relatively hard edge eats into my ankle, while being tight across the top of the feet.
The shoe is also mich stiffer than non-goretex.
The grip in the soft ground is marvellous however.
