Ultimate on-road / in-gym barefoot performance shoe. Three years in our heads, careful optimisation on the plantar pressure plate, and months of road testing. Two feet: ONE shoe. With V web lamination upper and soft-fit lining, the ONE is fine-tuned for a pure barefoot experience. So take to the streets and let your feet do what they do best.
I've had a few Vivobarefoot shoes over the years (Evo, Evo II, Neo Trail, Ultra, Aqua, Aqua Lite) and these are by far the most comfortable to wear just for walking around. The shoe shape is also quite attractive, which is sometimes an issue with barefoot shoes. I have wide feet and was happy to find that there is plenty of room in the toe box in the One, more so than in the Evo and Evo II even. I was also pleased to see that even with a large toebox, the design of this shoe doesn't look odd, which is quite an achievement for these types of shoes.
The lightness is much improved over the Evo, but the best part for me is the low-profile heel and flexible structure of the shoe itself. A lot of Vivobarefoot shoes have a very stiff and sometimes high heel, which can cause some rubbing issues. The heel on the One is very soft and very flexible, while still retaining its shape. The heel is also very low profile and doesn't have any excessive material or pull tabs sticking up. What that means is you can actually wear these shoes with slim fitting or tailored pants to walk around without looking out of place.
The only flaw is that the colours available right now are not great. The "Training Clinic" versions in black/orange and white/gray/orange are MUCH better looking. I have the black/orange version and it was a pain to get. Release some more tasteful colour combinations please.
