My barefoot training began from my yoga practice of 10 plus years. It made sense to me at that time that all my training should be barefoot.
From heavy lifts in the gym, to plyometrics, running and some on course practice. What I was noticing was that my body began moving properly and with more explosiveness. I could no longer depend on a shoe to support my body and therefore my foot had to strengthen to do so. My overall body awareness increased dramatically.
I felt like the shoe market was lagging on this barefoot concept and as I wanted to get closer to the ground shoe companies were going the other way by building up the soles of shoes.
Until I discovered VIVOBAREFOOT about a year ago. I first began wearing their Evo’s as a everyday shoe as well as to train in. And I am so thrilled that they just launched their golf shoe, something I’ve been dreaming about.
I received the prototoype a few months ago and absolutely love wearing them everyday.
From a performance standpoint I couldn’t ask for anything else in a golf shoe. Tons of traction and even with the thin sole the shoe has more than plenty of stability. Being so close to the ground allows me to feel the contours of the course as well which is extremely important to me, every advantage helps.
If I can’t be barefoot, I only want to wear Vivo’s.

Whoa, I just started golfing again in October and would love to find these. I picked up a pair of standard golf shoes on sale and really don’t enjoy walking the course in them at all. Are these available in stores or on the web yet?
Cheers,
TZ
