Terra Plana and VIVOBAREFOOT going their separate ways…A letter from Galahad Clark

October 24th 2011 by Galahad Clark

TerraPlana.com is temporarily closed whilst we undergo some organisational changes. Here’s an open letter from VIVOBAREFOOT’s Managing Director Galahad Clark.

Dear Friend of Terra Plana and VIVOBAREFOOT,

This is to announce that Terra Plana and VIVOBAREFOOT are going their separate ways.   For the foreseeable future terraplana.com will be re-directed to vivobarefoot.com.

Terra Plana created VIVOBAREFOOT in 2003 and over the years many iterations of the barefoot shoe revolution have been developed.  Today the VIVOBAREFOOT patented ultra-thin, puncture-resistant sole exists on the most complete barefoot collections in the world with full collections of Performance, Lifestyle and Kids shoes.

VIVOBAREFOOT has established itself along with Lee Saxby as the authority on healthy barefoot movement and the first VIVOBAREFOOT experience store opened in Covent Garden this year – more are set to follow in New York and around the world over the next few months.
VIVOBAREFOOT and Terra Plana will forever be connected and there are some exciting new developments afoot as to what direction Terra Plana will be heading.

But for now, please visit VIVOBAREFOOT.com for all your barefoot shoe needs and vivobarefoot.trainingclinic.com for information and educational materials on the joy of injury-free barefoot movement.

Long Live Barefoot!

– Galahad Clark

Interested in purchasing any left over inventory still in your warehouse for our soon to come “ethical” footwear store in Toronto Canada.

Please advise if this is possible.

    Thank you for your time.

Miss some calssic terra plana models like Wittgenstein. When they are coming to have their own website ? Are there alternative ways to buy in Romania.

    Thx.

Miss the original Mumbais. Mine are all so worn out now and need to be replaced after 5 yrs of good wear. Will we see these soon now that there might be refocus on Terra Plana?

    Hello!
I’m desperate for Janis boots size 9 or 10.
Seems that they are nowhere to be found.
I wore mine for years till they finally blew out at the front…I patched them from the inside after the cobbler said he wouldnt and that I should let them go.i kept them, and got even more wear out of them.
I have walked, rode my bike ,and danced thru many cties in my Janis boots and my juniper pumps.
People stop me whenever I wear either shoe to comliment me.
    What’s happening with terra plana?
    Is it gone forever?
    Thanks and happy holidays

Oh I hope I can still buy Terra Plana shoes in NZ :( They are the most comfortable, stylish and earth friendly heels I’ve ever worn. Hard to find down these ways.

I hope that the Terra Plana style shoes will not be lost; they are an excellent mid-way between the barefoot experience and traditional shoes. Please advise. Thank you.

I love Terra Plana for women’s heels and have absolutely no interest in the barefoot shoes. Please bring back TP and continue to make gorgeous heels (especially low heels like DOLL) with the rubber grips on the bottom and wooden heels. You are the only brand I own 5 pairs of shoes of, and get compliments every time. Thanks.

Hi. I too love Terra Plana heels (and not a fan of Vivo) so very disappointed to find they are no more? Or are they? What has gone on? Read this post at the time and have been searching for an explanation …disappointed in the lack of info for customers who have been loyal, loved and now lost. :( No public response for the comments above? Good luck with Vivo, but hope to hear some news on Terra Plana heels. Thank you.

These are the only shoes that are comfy and stylish, ESP since I’ve got wide feet. I need terra plana to come back!
