100m barefoot run at Tree-Athlon 2011

"I'm not the odd one out anymore" – 100m Barefoot Runner at the Tree-Athlon It wasn't just the sun that turned out at Battersea Park, London on Saturday for the Tree-Athlon but hundreds of barefoot runners did as well in the largest barefoot 100m race in the world. Trees for Cities , a charity dedicated to improving urban environment through planting trees, hosted the event. They organised a whole range of activities for all including the 5km run, live music, street art, contemporary dance and performance art, activities for kids and tree planting workshops.
