On the evening of Wednesday 24th June, Galahad Clark, owner of Terra Plana shoes, came to the new NYC Terra Plana store for drinks, music, and a book signing with Christopher McDougall, author of the newly released bestseller Born to Run, published by Knopf. Born to Run explores the subject of the world's ultra-runners: how they develop their abilities, and investigates how the multi-million dollar fitness shoe industry -- built on arch supports, shock absorbers and extra padding -- might actually be doing more harm than good.
