The Wild Night Run followed by the Exeter Half
February 08, 2013 by Jamie Page
The VIVOBAREFOOT crew are heading to the Westcountry this Saturday to race the Wild Night Run, Jonno Gibbins and I will be making our way up and down the 10 mile course, with our support team, including Mark Esteban, back at base.
Here's how race organiser Ceri Rees describes the race: "The first five miles is mainly uphill following the river to Shipley Bridge with one or two brief descents to give you some respite. There is then a short tarmac section (though still slightly uphill) before a steep climb up onto the moor until you meet the Abbots Way. The second half is mainly downhill but with a couple of short sharp climbs to keep you on your toes."
The winners of the race will receive a pair of our barefoot trail shoes each!
The next day we will be at the Exeter Half Marathon with Iron Bridge Runner. We're bringing our mobile Training Clinic lab with the plantar pressure plate and our Certified Coaches will be on hand to answer your barefoot questions and try on some VIVOBAREFOOT shoes.
