“I’m not the odd one out anymore” – 100m Barefoot Runner at the Tree-Athlon
It wasn’t just the sun that turned out at Battersea Park, London on Saturday for the Tree-Athlon but hundreds of barefoot runners did as well in the largest barefoot 100m race in the world.
Trees for Cities, a charity dedicated to improving urban environment through planting trees, hosted the event. They organised a whole range of activities for all including the 5km run, live music, street art, contemporary dance and performance art, activities for kids and tree planting workshops.
VIVOBAREFOOT was kindly asked to attend and we were privileged to be placed at the finishing line of the record breaking 100m barefoot race. Below are a few photos we took at the Tree-Athlon event.
