VIVOBAREFOOT in Machu Picchu

September 2nd 2011 by Jamie Page

Evo owner Nancy Phillips emailed us to say how much she loves her VIVOBAREFOOT shoes.

During her two week trip to Peru and Argentina last December, Nancy wore her Evos exclusively. They performed as intended for both hiking and pounding the streets, and she continues to wear them for her hiking adventures in Canada and the USA. She was kind enough to send us some photos of her time in Machu Picchu:

I was just in The Emporium in Bangkok and asked the woman about these shoes (the black EVO pictured here). The (uninformed) saleswoman told me that could be used for running, but were not really meant for just running and that if I wanted running shoes I should go over there [pointing to the part of the store where they have traditional running shoes like Nike and Asics. I couldn’t believe it, and suggested that she visit the Vivo Barefoot web site. This was the woman responsible for the Vivo Barefoot part of the store!
